self proclaimed eurobeer tour!

greetings! for some reason i am forbidden from using caplocks when i blog via blackberry so forgive me. i am currently in berlin at my favourite internet cafe st oberhof drinking cappucinos and trying my hardest to be as cool as everyone surrounding me, blogging about their cool days on their macbooks or create sick beats on their macbooks while wearing sunglasses indoors while it is raining.
i arrived in dublin two days ago, and while i enjoyed seeing dori i was not that big of a fan of the city... although the lack of sunlight and grey overhang could very well have clouded my judgement but i found it very difficult to find anything that wasn't touristy and supper expensive. the first night we found this cool bar just off the main strip of temple bar (famous area inwhich i know nothing about), called the garage bar. at first i thought it was garbage bar, which would make a lot more sense since there were woodchips just like at a landfill. they played old horror films and really good music. the next day we went to the guinness brew factory, which has been there since the 18th or 17th century what was unique about the plot of land was that arthur guinness signed the lease for a thousand years, which was the longest lease in history at the time... and may be even to date. we learned important things like hops make the beer bitter and barley makes it sweet. when we were leaving the tour we could smell the barley being roasted, which is what gives the guinness that meaty flavour. with the tour we got a complimentary pint of guinness and we learned how to pour the perfect pint i find it weird how you have to let the beer sit to let the gases settle properly and then top it off with beer from the keg by pushing the handle back instead of forward so that that beer has no gas, why not just fill it up to right amount?

that night we went out to the worlds most expensive tea shop ( anywhere from 6-12 euros a cup not even a pot of tea!) and got shisha and played boardgames.

anyways i must depart my hipster haven cage and return to my sleeping travelling amigos. i'm so happy to be back in the land of berlin where their papertowel has advertisements and their subway doors need you to open them!
